Changing Humanity begins with an experience that brings a youth organization together. What happens after that day is the program, and it is designed to stay with youth for years.
Changing Humanity helps youth understand themselves and how their minds actually work, so they can learn to guide their thoughts instead of being carried by them.
Not control. Guide. There is a difference, and youth feel it immediately.
Changing Humanity comes into a youth organization and creates something deliberately joyful. Through music, neuroscience, social-emotional learning, real conversation, reflection, mentorship and connection, youth are given room to pause and discover something about themselves and about each other.
They are not sitting in rows being talked at. They are participating, and the room feels like a celebration, because that is what it is.
We're not showing up because something is wrong.
We're showing up because we believe in what's possible.
But the experience is only the beginning. We don't show up, celebrate, and walk away.
Self-awareness first. Values, strengths, emotions, identity, and an honest look at the person you want to become.
How the brain actually works, and what to do with that. Self-talk, emotional regulation, resilience, confidence, intention, habits, and how to move through something hard.
Empathy, communication, belonging, and what a healthy relationship actually looks like.
Leadership starts with how you lead yourself. Then it becomes how you show up for everyone else.
The program will continue through our digital experience, so youth keep access to it long after the first day. The platform is being built to offer age-appropriate learning, short exercises, reflection, intention-setting, challenges and growth tools they can return to on an ordinary Tuesday months later, when they actually need it.
But the platform is not the program. It is how the program travels.
Nothing on a screen replaces a real conversation with someone who knows you. Changing Humanity is built to combine the two on purpose, and the human half is the half that does the work.

We are developing a small-group model so youth grow alongside other youth rather than navigating these years by themselves.
Small groups who grow together.
Peer to peer encouragement, so no one is on their own.
Students who learn that leadership is not a title, it is how you show up.
Older role models close enough in age to be believed.
College mentors are not therapists or counselors. Their role is to listen, encourage, facilitate conversation, share what is appropriate from their own experience, and remind youth that there are people who care how they grow.
For our inaugural program, psychology students from Chapman University are helping us develop and support this part of the program.
The feeling we want youth to leave with is simple. I have people.
The small-group model is in development and will grow with our Founding Cohort.
Youth can join the program needing encouragement and, in time, become the ones giving it. That is the shape we are building toward: older students welcoming and mentoring the ones coming up behind them.
Leadership at Changing Humanity is not about being the loudest person in the room. It begins with learning to lead yourself.
Changing Humanity is preparing to launch its inaugural program in early 2027 with approximately 45 members of the Beckman High School Cheer program in Southern California.
They are not a test group. They are the first, and they will help us listen, learn and build the program for every youth organization that follows.
One community will be first. Our vision is for many more to follow.
Younger participants begin by understanding themselves. As they grow, they build resilience, confidence, relationships and purpose. Eventually they have the chance to support the youth coming up behind them.
This is the shape we are working toward, not a finished structure. We will build it with the youth who are actually in it.
